Tonka's Story...
Names Tonka but they call me Goofball. I am a happy go lucky sort of boy looking for a fun family with a sense of humor and a soft spot for goofy boys. I am just a pup so I could use some training and socialization to be become a perfect pet. I love to play with other dogs, and chasing and playing with kitty cats is a blast! .I enjoy playing in the water and I think doggy toys are really great too. . I am crate trained already and very attentive, so teaching me basic commands should be a cinch. So what do you say- take me home and let me bring tons of joy to your life! 5 months old-30lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; current shots, neuter, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tonka, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
