Abagail's Story...
I'm Abagail, known to my friends as Abby. And I have lots of friends. I'm an outgoing, affectionate, and demonstrative girl. My favorite pastimes include giving hugs, purring, and imitating a scarf -- I love to wrap myself around your shoulders and just recline with you like a scarf or a stole. I'd do wonderfully in a home with other cats, as I came from a home with other kitties. My outgoing and playful ways are sure to entertain youngsters, too, and I'm confident that I'd enjoy a home with children. I love attention and I'll paw at you to let you know I want pets. I have the most beautiful, soft grey and tan fur and the teeniest, tinest nose. I cannot wait to find a loving family to take me home so I can shower them with attention -- and get plenty of hugs daily.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abagail, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
