HANK's Story...
Hank is a 3 year old male Australian Cattle Dog Mix. Our best guess is that he is mixed with some Aussie. Hank was transported to us sight unseen and supposedly was called a BC. Boy, were we surprised when we saw him as he does not have one speck of BC in him...We have affectionately dubbed him our BC wannabe. He is shorter in stature and weighs in at about 35 lbs. His is a tri colored smooth coat with heavy mottling, typical of cattle dogs. Hank pretty well takes everything in stride. He gets along well with other dogs, walks on a leash, and is crate trained. Hank rides well in a car, and will kennel right up. He does not seem to bothered by children in the least. He is a happy and quiet dog, and does not seem to have any obvious behavioral issues. His personality can be described as easy going and he is an easy keeper. Hank is an affectionate dog and would love nothing better than to be your canine companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HANK, a San Pedro Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
