Meet Suzzy...
This sweet girl was brought to the kennel well over a year ago and never picked up by her owner. She is great with dogs, children and all people. She has been in and out of the kennel for most of her life. She is high energy, but that is likely due to being in the Kennels for so long. She will need some training, but she will be easy to train! She just turned 3 in December. We believe that she is a labrador mixed with a smaller breed. She only weighs 30 lbs so she is not a bulky as a pure bred lab...which is nice for folks that like a lab temperment but cant handle the size or power of a lab.
Our adoption fee includes all vetting, microchip, health certificate and USDA certified transport to your area. We are a non profit organization and adoptions are considered charitable contributions on your income taxes. If you are interested in this guy please request an application at forrescuetn@gmail.com.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families in the New England area. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
Our dogs are mainly fostered in Tennessee and Alabama in one of our many experienced foster homes if one is available; if not, the dogs might be kept in boarding until adopted. We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella and spay/neuter (if age appropriate) and are on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm/flea preventative, as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together!
We currently volunteer for other rescues and can provide references from these rescues, previous adopters, and our veterinarians if requested. Please e-mail us for an application or information at info@FORrescue.net
