Hello! My name is Brando! I am a 3 month old male Pit Bull Terrier looking for my forever home. I don’t know how it happened, but one day, I was taken to a shelter in Downey, CA. I was very confused when they put me into a cage with a bunch of other dogs. Then one day, this nice lady who works with a Lab Rescue walked by my kennel and stopped to talk to me. She was super nice and loved my crazy little ears. I made sure to nibble her fingers and give her lots of kisses through the cage. Can you believe it, the Lab Rescue lady asked to take me out to play! She was super nice and gave me lots of cookies. She said something about getting neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before they would let her take me home. All I know is that lady was so much fun, I wanted to keep playing with her! The very next day, she came back to get me and took me home, oh happy day! .

Now, I live in a foster home with adult Labs and a teenage Pibble! It is amazing, he looks like he could be my brother. I really like playing with my foster brothers and sisters. They are great buddies and I keep hearing “role model”…ok I like to roll around and get my belly scratched, so that is all good for me. I am learning about where to go potty and how to walk on a leash. I have my very own bed inside a crate that I sleep in every night. It is so much warmer and cozier than where I was before, so I don’t make a peep.

Oh, and did I tell you??? I live with two human kids too. I have a 9 year old boy and a 14 year old girl that I get to hang around with. I really love to chew on my boys toes when he is doing his homework. He makes these funny little giggles. And the girl, man she is so nice. I get to snuggle in bed with her when she watches TV in the evenings. Man, I am a lucky little dog.

Here is the deal though. My new people tell me that they would love to be able to help more homeless dogs, just like me. So, I am trying to find a new home to go to. I am so lucky and thankful for my foster family that I want to move on and leave my cozy crate for another pup to find safety in. Can you help me with that? If you would like to take me into your home, please contact my foster mom!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brando, a Bellflower American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
