My story

Wanna play? Got a ball that needs fetching? Need a running partner to help you get in shape???? Well, have we got the dog for you! Meet Lucky!!!

Lucky is an approximately 2yo intact 40-45lb female Border Collie/Shepherd-x who came into the shelter as a stray with her buddy Lobo. Thus, her history is a real unknown. As you can see in her pictures (taken by Freddie of Frederica Georgia Photography, www.fredericageorgia.com), she is a very lovable, energetic girl. She does great with other dogs but has not been cat- or kid-tested. Right now, she is on stray hold until 1-26-12, after which time she will be available. This gal is missing some hair in places on her L back (as seen in one of her pictures). We are not sure why this is at this time. There are no wounds on the skin, just missing hair.

The shelter does not have the ability to heartworm testing, deworming or vaccinations on-site; however, for reputable rescues, local volunteer assistance is available for transport to a local Vet clinic for such testing and to obtain appropriate vaccines and Health Certificate at the rescue's expense.
