Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Walter, a young standard grey male, was surrendered when his new owner and dog started suffering from an allergic reaction. He has been through two homes since the time he was purchased from a pet store. This single guy showed some nice interest in his chinchilla neighbors from the very beginning and responded very gently towards them. We just knew he'd be a great friend for another male.
Ricochet, another standard grey male approximately 6 years old, also worked his way through two families before coming to our rescue. His second family took amazing care of him. Unfortunately, the stress of being a single chin caused him to start chewing his own fur. He seemed a prime candidate to introduce to gentle Walter.
Walter was VERY enthusiastic to have a new friend and wanted to snuggle and groom Ricochet. Ricochet, on the other hand, was nervous at first and would alternate between accepting Walter's grooming and being on guard. Now the two have successfully gone through our introduction process and have settled down nicely together. We're confident that Ricochet's fur will grow back in within the next few months.
Ricochet also has an unusual quality about him; even though this little guy is full grown, he's been known to squeak like a baby.
Walter is a big doofus. He's super easygoing and wonderfully friendly.
If a pair of chins ever needed "rescuing" these are the ones. Both boys would do well in a home that could devote gentle interaction and plenty of spoiling.
