Hilda's Story...

Hilda is a spayed female, DOB March 10, 2009, 75 pounds, American Bull Dog Mix. She is Black and White with a very sweet expression.

We pulled her from a high kill shelter, then discovered she had heart worm. Luckily a mild infestation, was treated and very healthy now and has not had any debilitating problems at all.

She is a very sweet, wiggly girl, loves to play with her Kong in the Run, when weather allows. Hilda is crate clean and has never had an accident. She gets along with most dogs and knows to "leave it" with cats. She has learned to sit, stay, down and shake. She is good on the lead, strong at times but very manageable with voice commands. Hilda loves to go for car rides. She still jumps a little but is learning how to be a lady and will sit when asked. Hilda is used to being walked several time a day.

Hilda is spayed, UTD on vaccines, wormed and micro-chipped

Come see Hilda at the "Meet Your Best Friend At The Zoo" adoption event in Detroit on Sat and Sun the 22nd and 23rd of September from 10 am to 5 pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hilda, a Howell American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Howell, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
