Stray Cat's Story...
This cat was brought in to the Vet Clinic by a local resident that found him in the road, having been hit by a car. He was treated for his wounds and nursed back to health by the Veterinarian and has now been transfered to the Dog Pound. He is a handsome Grey Tabby and appears to be friendly. No owner has called looking for him so we are trying to find him a home. He was not neutered when he was found but is now neutered and in good health. He is usinig the litter box well and he would love to be someone's companion. If you might be interested in giving him a home. please calll the shelter at: 860-870-3155

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stray Cat, a Ellington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ellington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ellington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ellington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ellington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ellington paves the way for another one to be saved.
