Joey's Story...
Meet Joey, a gorgeous Sheltie. Joey loves to be with people and outside. He knows basic commands (sit, stay, shake) and gets along with other dogs. Joey is a fabulous dog with a wonderful disposition! Joey has been devocalized at some point in his life prior to coming to our rescue. When he barks it comes out as a whisper. It would be best if Joey is adopted by a family with a fenced in yard. Joey has a wonderful composition and is a calm dog. He loves to play chase and play with rope toys. Joey has had a dental and is missing some teeth that needed pulled. Please go to www.centralohiodogrescue.petfinder.com for an application to adopt or email centralohiodogrescue@gmail.com for additional information. Joey's adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Hilliard Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Hilliard, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Hilliard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hilliard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hilliard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hilliard paves the way for another one to be saved.
