Sadie's Story...
Best friends make life better. Sadie’s talent is friendship and she's very good at it! She’s all girl. At approximately 70 lbs, she loves bread and doesn’t like to get her hair wet when it’s raining! She prefers to be indoors with her best friend, lying by your chair or following you around the house. Her favorite place is where YOU are. Sadie is a mature woman, estimated to be 7-8 years old, and is calm, companionable, and trustworthy in the house alone. She makes a great copilot on car rides and would love to ride with you on errands. In fact, even if you aren’t going anywhere she’ll sit in the car and pretend she is! Sadie will be most successful in a home where she is the only dog although her need for reassurance may relax with time. Sadie is housetrained, completely current on vetting, and was treated for heartworms. She’s a healthy girl and all she needs now is a good friend and a place to call home. To learn more about Sadie, email INFO@FORrescue.net. She's fostered near Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
