ALFALFA (ID #A022501) is a cute little spayed female lionhead angora who is tan with dark brown accents on her nose and ears. She's a sweet lovable girl, doesn't mind being handled, loves pets, and really loves treats! She'll settle right in to any home willing to give her the attention she deserves. Alfalfa came in covered with ticks and mats. We took care of both, but she's very fluffy, so she'll need an owner experienced with grooming.

STARTING THE ADOPTION PROCESS: You need to be 18 years or older, complete an application

It is strongly recommended that all members of your household interact with the rabbit to make the best match for everyone, and that the rabbit you wish to adopt will be an indoor pet. You must be able to verify with your landlord that you may have a pet if you are renting. We reserve the right to deny the adoption of any pet for any reason. Also any additional requirements for the specific pet you are interested in adopting needs to be met. We adopt to the best home, not necessarily the first application turned in.

The adoption fee for rabbits is $45, which covers the following: spay/neuter, microchip, litter-box training, copy of The House Rabbit Handbook, "New Owner" folder, bag of Timothy hay and pellets, and one free basic health examination within 5 days of adoption from a veterinarian on our list.
Rabbits make excellent pets. They are intelligent, social animals capable of forming lifelong bonds with their human companions. Their playful antics will warm your heart for years to come. A well-cared-for house rabbit can have a lifespan of seven to ten years or longer.
