Facts about Angus

  • Breed: Border Collie/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Angus is extremely well mannered, very charming, loves people, NEVER barks, walks well on leash and loves meeting new dogs. He is laid back and low maintenance. His bad habits are using you as a chair and hogging the bed at night. He's never lived with another dog but may do ok with a female. Older kids, no cats.

Angus has kidney disease but his values have stabilized. He is on a special diet and takes blood pressure medication. He is otherwise healthy and happy and shows no symptoms. We anticipate he has many more years left.

About Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit, all volunteer, non-euthanizing rescue group out of Richmond, Virginia. We foster out of our homes to socialize the dogs and puppies to a family setting. Adults are house broken, crate trained and up-to-date on all of their medical before they go to their new homes. Puppies are started with their shots and wormings, depending on the age of the puppy as to how much medical is done on them before they go to their new families. All animals will be spayed/neutered before adoption. We rescue all breeds of dogs and puppies, from little ones to big breeds!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We adopt our dogs in the Richmond, Virginia, area. Our stand locations are as follows- Pet Smart at Libbie and Broad on Saturdays from 11:00-3:00

Make sure to check our website for more details and information about all the events listed above. www.aarf.org

Our Adoption Process...

There is an application process, including filling out the application. We submit it to our screening board and they will call your references, vet's office (if you have other pets), and interview you and your family. Once approved, they call the foster home and give the information to them to set up a time to deliver your new family member and to do a home visit. At that time there is a contract that needs to be read and signed. We also provide you with the pets medical records, the pet will already be spayed/neutered and microchipped, we also give a vet visit certificate. There is a $175.00 adoption fee that is due at time of delivery.
