My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota is simply as adorable as a little dog gets! Although Adopt A Pet doesn't recognize the breed, Dakota is a pure bred MiKi, pronounced 'me key'. The MiKi is a recognized breed which was created through a combination of Maltese, Japanese Chin and Papillon.

A retired breeder and young adult, Dakota has reached his full adult size at approximately 7 pounds. He could stand to put on a little more weight, being thin from rescue, but will never be more than a tiny boy.

Dakota is quite shy with people at first but warms up quickly. He really enjoys the company of other small dogs. He is crate trained and potty trained to a potty pad or doggy door.

Dakota is available for adoption through New Beginnings Animal Rescue & Promised Land Dog Fosters. Please e-mail for more information: mijos.mom@gmail.com. We typically respond to e-mail within 24 hours or less. All dogs listed by Promised Land Dog Fosters have been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, micro chipped and heart worm tested. The adoption fee, to cover the cost of rescue, vetting and foster care is $125.
