Ace is one cool cat. From his crinkly ear, piercing green eyes, and half mustache to the way he casually lounges atop the highest perch of his cat condo with a paw nonchalantly hanging over the side, you know this cat is full of character and intrigue. As he draws you into his aura, you become mesmerized and find yourself trying to do whatever it is he wants that will please him.
Is it playtime he craves? When he's on top of his condo, you can entice him by tossing soft toys at him so he can practice his paw-eye coordination. When he's at ground level Ace enjoys chasing balls across the room at full speed. Nothing gets Ace going like a good game of catch that feather! Place it under the crack of a door, and watch Ace get so excited that his tail and sometimes even his whole back end wags like crazy as he anticipates catching his prey. If you make the feather wand weave around the base of his kitty condo, you can get him to go after it round and round in hot pursuit. He propels himself around the base of the post using his hind legs until he stretches the full length of the post. Once he captures it, he bunny kicks the feather with his hind legs!! It's the funniest thing you've ever seen witnessing Ace show that feather who is boss!
Is it treats that will satisfy the look in his eyes? Ace can be quite the talker around mealtime, especially if he sees you holding treats. The quickest way to this boy's heart is by offering him a handful of Temptations cat treats. Ace aspires to becoming the spokescat for Temptations cat treats, that's how much he likes them! Ace washes down any good meal with fresh water from his water bowl, however only after he goes through his ritual of pushing his water dish around until the water sloshes over the side of the bowl. He likes to see the water move prior to drinking just to reassure himself that he's not seeing some type of mirage.
Or perhaps, it is simple quality snuggling time with his favorite people that his heart desires. Upon arriving home, Ace will immediately saunter over, casually rub up against your legs, and then jump up expectantly on the sofa where he will await your arrival beside him. Once next to him, Ace happily headbutts you requesting petting, head rubs, and chin scratches. Ace enjoys head rubs and chin scratches so much that not only does his purr motor rumble with satisfaction but he also lets loose with a little drool. Admittedly drooling doesn't seem to fit with his ultra-cool image, but when Ace feels strongly about something, he is not one to shy away from showing how he feels! The happier he is, the more he'll drool! After successfully soliciting affection from you, Ace will burrow his head into your side or rest his head on your leg and snuggle up against you, or on you, for a nice nap. A more charming cuddler you will not meet. But please, as hard as it might be, try not to smother him with all the love and admiration you feel for him...after all Ace is a cool character and does enjoy some purrsonal space. Who doesn't enjoy some me time?? Especially me time that involves bird watching...Ace is an avid bird watcher and will chatter and chirp at them for hours!
Besides becoming spokescat for Temptations cat treats, Ace does have another aspiration that dwarfs all else - packing his bags and heading home with his new family. Now Ace has nothing against the fine folks that are currently caring for him, in fact he thinks they're great. But as every smart cat knows, and trust us - Ace is a very smart cat, nothing beats having a home and family of your very own. Ace wouldn't mind living with another friendly feline, but he'd be just as happy as your one and only furry friend. You'd think a cool cat like Ace would insist upon his new family being at his beck and call...not so. Our sweet boy is an undemanding fellow that is simply looking for someone who will provide him with the love and care that he deserves.
