Homer's Story...
Homer is around 2 to 3 years old, is Small/Medium in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, he appears to be very sweet & loving, a mellow playfulness, obedient and well mannered, alert and a sweet boy who appears to love hugs, he's also a gentle young man. While I was in Homer's kennel, I gave a little test by looking in his mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paw and giving him a little kiss and hug. Homer appeared to pass the test for me with no problems, he just looked up at me with those big brown sad eyes and wanted me to take him home.,. We feel he may make a wonderful loving & loyal companion. We also feel this boy would do best in a very well fenced yard to play in. If you wish, Homer can be tested at the shelter around Dogs & Cats.

Act quickly to adopt Homer. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Homer, a Grass Valley Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
