Howdy there! I am Rusty. I am a male husky / chow mix that was born in mid-November 2011. I have a beautiful tan reddish colored coat with black markings. My snout is black and I have a black stripe on my tail as well as black on the fringes of my ears. My coat is medium in length and very soft to the touch. I have floppy little ears that have black on the tips of them. I have a very outgoing personality. I am very loving and enjoy my time outside playing with my foster children. I am very adventurous and love exploring new places. I love being held and cuddled and as any dog will tell you there is nothing more satisfying that a good tummy rub or getting scratched behind your ears. I get along great with all kinds of dogs and love playing chase. I have learned to share my toys and water very nicely. I am being crate trained and my foster mom is house training me. I am also learning to walk on a leash. I am current on all my vaccines, flea and heartworm prevention and will be microchipped when I am adopted. I am looking for a family to call my own.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
