I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

J.R.'s Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

J.R.'s Story...
Six year old J.R. has been with us for 2 years now. He recently returned from a short stay at one of our staff member’s home as he was getting a little fed up of being at our centre. In a home setting J.R is a pretty laid-back guy who likes to explore and drink from the bath tap! He loves attention, enjoys being brushed and likes to snuggle very close - sometimes he’ll even drool. J.R. is great with large dogs but not other cats or small children. Do you have a window that J.R can sit at and watch the birds?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

J.R., a Mission Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mission, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
