Mary's Story...
My name is Mary! and I a 4 year old female shepherd mix weighing 50 pounds with a golden coat

I was hit by a car and couldn't walk when I was found, but taken to a vet, After much help I can now live my life out happily like a normal dog, if I take 30 mg. of prednisone every 48 hours. I am now running and playing again and so happy.

I am very affectionate with people and low maintainance as just happy to lay around all day with my toys and an occasional pet from my owner, would really make me over the moon :-)

Other dogs where mean to me when I was lost on street, so I would prefer now, to be the only pet in the home until I can learn to trust again

I am spayed and have all my shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mary, a Long Beach German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
