Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Presley, a purebred Walker Coonhound in the Shelby County Animal Shelter (aka dog pound). My heart was so heavy when I spotted him the shelter, because history proves that I rarely get any responses when I send out emails with hounds..especially this wonderful breed of hound. Poor boy was born a Walker Coonhound and will probably die because he is one..unless we spread the word about him. Trust me when I state that he will not make it out of this shelter without our help.
He was found as a stray..probably either dumped because he wasn't meeting the requirements for a good hunting dog or because his natural instinct to trail scents caused him to wonder from home. If he did have a good home, they've never claimed him and he's been at the shelter since March 21st!!!! Needless to say, his time is limited.
He is approximately 2 or 3 years old. He is very handsome, as you can see from the pictures! He is not hyper, but instead very obedient. We had no problem getting him to pose for pictures. He stood perfectly still...... as if he knew this was his one and only hope of making it out of the shelter.
If you can help this boy, please contact the shelter AS SOON AS POSSIBLE at 502-633-0009.
