My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie came to us through an owner who had severe allergies to her copious powder down, and subsequently had her shut in a bedroom for years. This bird initially came fro a rescue in Michigan, and I am not sure of her history before that. She is an adorable Umbrella Cockatoo who has now had 4 surgeries for a prolapsed cloaca, which she came to us with and had had for years at the previous owner's. By not taking care of it upon presentation, this helped her pelvic floor to lose it's integrity Sweet Frankie is obviously special needs and will probably be a chronic prolapser. She needs love, calm and a person who understands cockatoo affection so as to not keep her, (in the mood,) 24/7, year round, which is suspected to be a contributor to her condition.. and someone who will take her to a reputable vet when she needs to go... contact us at www.lilysanctuary for more info on Frankie.
