Katie is an adorable, female, 3-month-old, tri-colored, long hair Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was rescued from a rural shelter in Kern County. At 3 months, Katie weighs 4 lbs and will probably reach about 7 lbs once full grown. She gets along with other dogs both big and small and has this little submissive way of introducing herself to other dogs by rolling onto her shoulder and showing her belly. It puts her cuteness level over the top.

Katie loves to cuddle up at night and has been sleeping on my daughter's neck all through the night. Katie is mellow, quiet and well behaved for a puppy, partly because all this is very new to her and I'm sure she has never been a part of a family or a household before. She is learning the ropes quickly. Katie is housebroken and will either use a puppy pad or go outside to use the bathroom. She is friendly and curious with people and her confidence will continue to grow as she learns that her life is now stable and safe.
