TAWNIE - ADOPTION PENDING's Info...
|Breed:||Affenpinscher||Color:||Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With Black||Age:||Young|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Female|
Tawnie is a gorgeous young 9 lb red Affenpinscher girl with natural ears and tail. Her birthday is 2/28/10. She is a very playful, loving little girl and gets along with small male dogs more so than females. Like all Affenpinschers, she is very determined and she is also very intelligent. She is equally friendly toward men and women that she knows and would love to cuddle in bed with her forever person at night.
The first year or so of Tawnie’s life was traumatic for her. She still becomes anxious when left alone, when strangers visit and in unfamiliar situations. She is leash trained, but will cower behind you on walks until she is accustomed to the route. Visits to the Vet and groomer are stressful for her. In other words, this beautiful sweet girl is waiting for a special person she can call her very own, who is willing to continue helping her build more self confidence. Tawnie has a lot of love to give and will return your love a hundred times over.
Tawnie needs a very securely fenced yard and a forever person that works from home or is retired. She is very athletic and loves to run in the backyard. She would do fine as an only dog as long as her person rarely leaves her alone. Loud noises frighten her, so she must always be securely harnessed on walks. Because of her small size and personailty she will not be placed in a home with children or large dogs.
Tawnie is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, heart worm negative, on preventative and she is being fostered in the Chicago, IL, suburbs. We prefer to place Tawnie within driving distance of her foster home.
If you are interested in adopting Tawnie, please submit an adoption application at www.abgra.org. If you have questions, please email us at email@example.com.
Rescue Group Info...
American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance Inc. (ABGRA) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers who are abandoned, might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve. We will endeavor to accept these Griffs, regardless of their circumstance, knowing that we might be their last hope. We strive to leave no Griff behind.
We are especially mindful of the Griffs that have spent their lives in commercial breeding facilities and who will have a chance at a better life through our efforts.
ABGRA is a non-profit national rescue group founded to provide commercially bred Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers a chance at living in a home for the first time as a pet.
All adoptions go through our website-
Our adoption donations are from $200 - $350 and reflect the vetting costs incured for each dog as well as some dogs whose costs far exceed the donation.
We interview all references provided and require a home visit before placements. An adoption contract is required. If the dog is returned within 30 days, a refund will be issued. ABGRA requires adopters be 25 years old, or older, and are looking for stable permanent adoptors. In most cases, these breeds are not recommened for families with young children or for people who are not home for long periods of time. They are the perfect pet for someone who can take their dog to work with them, work from home, or are retired.
ABGRA is a non-profit national rescue group founded to provide commercially bred Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers a chance at living in a home for the first time as a pet. We strive to leave no griff behind and rescue these breeds from city/county shelters when foster home space is available. We are an all foster home based rescue that provides complete vetting for our dogs prior to adoption.
