My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Annie Oakley! I am a 2 year old, female, Pit Bull. I was found by a very nice man in Big Bear. After 3 days of seeing me try and survive in the cold snow, he finally took me in. We went to the shelter to see if my family was looking for me. They weren’t. I was lucky enough to have him take me home to meet his family until he could place me with The Pet Rescue Center. I have now been here since January 27th. I am a very well behaved dog and I LOVE other dogs. A playmate would be an ideal situation for me. I play with very good manners and love to share toys. I am good around children, small and large, and would make a great house pet for almost any family. If you think I might be the right girl for you, let’s meet!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email us at info@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: info@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
