Toby's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Toby's Story...
TOBY is a 8 years old gorgeous Persian mix in need of a loving and understanding home.

His mother was a purebred Persian and he was adopted as a kitten by a loving owner. Unfortunately, due to financial challenges in her life, she had to re-home both of her cats in the last year. He has the gorgeous Persian coat - and the tendency of a Persian to matt unless brushed reguarly, but has a normal length face (and hence can breath normally and is not at all predisposed to the nose and eye problems of purebred persians).

Toby is neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, and vaccinated and in good health.

He is shy with strangers but very sweet and affectionate when comfortable in his environment. He has unfortunately had some challenges with litterbox use - but this behavior has markedly improved with the rehoming of his more dominant feline housemate.

He is looking for a loving and understanding home and family - either as an only cat or with another cat who is submissive and non-challenging to other cats. He has been an indoor only cat all his life and would like to remain that way.

He does need regular brushing - or twice yearly shaving (which he got when he came to us and tolerates well).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Santa Rosa Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Santa Rosa, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Santa Rosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Rosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Rosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Rosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
