Tucker's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. Be sure to contact the foster or organization directly from the information listed below.

Tucker is a 4-yr old neutered, tricolor Border Collie/Hound mix who weighs about 69 lbs. He is such a nice boy! He is well behaved in the car. He is good on a leash and likes to catch his treats in mid air. He seems to get along with other dogs and would probably do well in a home with another dog.

Tucker is a mellow guy who is also playful. He would probably be good in pretty much any environment, but we don't know yet about his attitude toward cats. However, a visit to the cat adoption area didn't seem to faze him. He has been engaging with all people that he meets.

Tucker is an all around nice boy, who truly wants to find a special and loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Vista Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Vista, or seeking a Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
