Coby's Story...
Meet Coby! He is a two year old Labrador/Bassett Hound mix boy. Coby is a curious and smart little boy and has always seemed like the 'leader of the pack' for this litter. He has a sassy side too but loves cuddling just as much as the rest of them do. Coby's coat makes him look like he is wearing a tuxedo, with his white 'shirt' on his chest and beautiful black all over the rest of him! He is up to date on his shots and he has been neutered. This dog cannot be adopted to Massachusetts residents per their pet import/quarantine regulations.

Coby is a lovebug and will give you lots of kisses - can you give him a wonderful family to call his own? If you would like more information on Coby, please email us at peaceloveandanimals@poochesonthemove.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coby, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
