My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sasha arrived at her foster home today and she is having a blast running around checking out the house. She and my resident boy, Tank act like they have known each other for years. She is a little pre-occupied with the cat. We let her check her out and she went to stiff, so we pulled her back and decided to try later. We did have to give her a bath, as the poor thing was sprayed by a skunk prior to arriving. She was a delight during the bath, could not have cared. Stay tuned for more Sasha. Thus far with people she is an absolute LOVEBUG!

January 21, 2012 - Meet Sasha! Sasha is a beautiful brindle girl that is coming into the program as her previous owner recently passed away. We are unsure of her real age, but the vet estimates her to be around 6 years old. We have been told that Sasha is a wonderful dog although she’s had no formal training. She doesn’t jump on people and she listens well.

Sasha lived at her previous home with a baby, a 3 year old and a 6 year old and is wonderful around all kids of all ages. She also lived with a male Boxer and gets along great with every dog she meets. She’s very friendly to all people and is an overall sweetheart. Sasha is currently living with a relative and they report that she is very clingy, but that is no surprise, as she has been uprooted from her home and her family.

Sasha is also experiencing some separation anxiety. She has never been crate trained, so her new home will need to work with her on this along with formal obedience training. When recently put into the crate, Sasha tried to get out and she drooled and destroyed the crate. Sasha does not counter surf and has shown absolutely no destructive behavior at all.

Sasha will need a home where someone is home more often than not. She is use to living with another dog, so a canine companion would be great for Sasha.

Please check back soon for updates as we secure a foster home and get to know this beautiful girl a little better.
