Loki's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Loki's Story...
Loki is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates program. We are listing him as a courtesy to his owner and we will help screen applications to adopt.

Loki is a 5-year-old neutered male Siberian Husky. He and his friend, Phelan (she is listed under our rescue, as well), must find new homes soon. Loki is a sweet dog but skittish with new people that come into his home. It just takes him a little time to warm up. However, he is happy to greet strangers when he is out on a walk. He is house trained, crate trained and good with kids. Loki can be a little aggressive with smaller female dogs but is submissive to bigger males. He is NOT good with cats. A fenced yard is required but Loki will be fine with a 4' high fence. An Invisible fence is not acceptable.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Belleville Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Belleville, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Belleville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Belleville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Belleville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Belleville paves the way for another one to be saved.
