My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This boy has come so far in 6 months!!!! I think he is ready for a new forever home. He has attached himself to me so perhaps a female owner is the best bet for this beautiful boy. Gus and his litter brother Moe are from Eastern Idaho. They were both mostly kennel dogs before coming into rescue. Gus is the more outgoing of the two, with a gentler personality and a very sweet disposition. He is cream colored wirehair ( in wirehair doxies this is called wheaten color) who is approx. 9 months old. Gus still needs a lot of socialization, and training to learn to trust humans. Like his brother, Gus would do best in a forever home with an experienced dachshund owner. All of the dogs coming through this rescue are spayed/neutered, have all shots up to date, and have a microchip implanted. The dogs also come with a collar with ID information. We run this rescue out of our home and welcome families to come out and visit with the dogs This rescue requires a pre & post placement home visits, a signed contract, and an adoption fee of $250.00
