My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Burton!

Burton is an 8 month old APBT mix. He came to ADPR from the Mat Su Shelter. Burton does great in the car and with other dogs. He is housebroken but learning house manners. He is still quiet puppyish, he does like to get into the trash and look up on the counters. We are working with him on this and he is catching on. It seems like he wasn't shown anything by whoever had him prior to ADPR getting him. He is unsure of some things and really looks to his foster sister for guidance and reassurance. We think he would be great in a home with another dog to show him new things. He loves to play and does have energy, he would make a wonderful running buddy. Burton is very good with his food we can touch it and him while he is eating and it doesn't stress him in the least. With a little training he will make a wonderful addition to any household.

*Update*Burton has been learning basic obedience and is catching on quickly. He has vastly improved on his house manners! He LOVES other dogs. Today we went downtown to check out the ice sculptures and Burton behaved fantastically! He walks wonderful on leash without any pulling and was very happy to meet all the adults and children. He rides very well in the car without disturbing anything when left alone in their either. He does tend to have some issues with his food and other dogs, but is just fine with people.

For more information on this wonderful boy please call Jesslyn at 764-4537 or Matt at 360-878-2262.
