Sam's Story...
Meet Sam! He's a precious beagle that is a little over 10 years old, but gets around great and even runs some! Sam weighs 52 lbs (he's dieting at his new foster mom's and he's lost 8 lbs!) He loves to walk and does not pull on the leash at all. His family had mo time for him so they gave him up, so sad! But he loves other dogs and he's fine with cats and he LOVES people. Sam is very laid back and easy going, absolutely no trouble at all. He waits quietly when his turn to eat and he rides great in a car! Sam takes a thyroid pill twice a day but it is very inexpensive and we will send him to his new home with a good supply of them. Sam just needs a good owner to be his new companion. He has a lot of love to give and deserves love in return.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Staunton Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
