Meow! My name is Siam
|Breed:||Siamese||Color:||Cream Or Ivory (Mostly)||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.
I used to be feral. I was found in some woods by a house after I had been hit by car. The people took me to a vet who shot me up with some really good steroids! A day later, still feeling woozy, I was picked up by the shelter staff. Unfortunately, I gave them a hard time when the drugs wore off. Since then, they have worked with me everyday to get me to calm down and not attack anything that moved. They don't blame me. How would you feel after getting hit? You'ld be a little cautious too. Anyway, now I'm friendly, but I still don't like to be held yet. They're working on that. Of course it would probably be easier if they didn't have sooo many other cat smells on them. My adoption fee is $70. Check out their website for details. They might even have an "Adoption Special"!
More information about Purrrfect Friends Feline Shelter & Adoptions
PFFSAA started as a mother/daughter habit of taking in unwanted and abandoned cats. We became a no-kill, non-profit shelter for felines when it became obvious that we needed more help with food, supplies, volunteers, finances, etc. We take in abandoned, stray, injured, and/or surrendered cats/kittens, provide them medical care and love, and try to match them to permanent homes. We believe that there is a home for every feline, but it might take awhile before that home finds us.
We hope to eventually work with our Animal Shelter and other local groups interested in TNR as well. We also do microchipping for the public, dogs and cats only. If you can't make it to an event, please call us and we will meet you.
While we are not 501c3, please note that we are non-profit and in the process of becoming 501c3.
We are recently using foster homes and looking for a permanent site, so to view an adoptable cat or kitten, someone will meet you at your house at a time that is good for you. Our Adoption does have a Foster Program for the first 30 days. If it does not work out within this time, we can try another feline or partial refund.
We are still working on adoption events, but do have notices posted on any public display boards we can find, and periodically advertise in the Goldsboro News-Argus.
Our adoption fee is $70.00. This covers up-to-date shots, spay/neuter, complete vet-check, microchip, 1-month flea/tick prevention, and 1-month insurance . We have an adoption application, also available online, that we use to help us match homes, and we require a $30.00 deposit to hold specific felines with the balance due the day the animal is to go to its new home. New owners must sign a contract that specifies terms such as keeping the animal indoors, what to do if it doesn't work out or something happens, etc., and we do a home followup visit to be sure everything is working out.
