AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Cookey is a very sweet girl that was labeled as an English Bulldog by the shelter. We went to rescue Cookey and found that she was in fact an American Bulldog but was so sick and so emaciated that we just couldn't turn our back on her. She was heartworm positive and a horrible lung infection and a bag of bones. After several months of treatment, many times when her mere survival was in question...Cookey rallied and survived. After several months at the vet, she was deemed well enough to go to a foster home. Cookey is now getting used to the good life, possibly for the first time in her life.
Cookey is very sweet and gentle. She gets along well with other dogs.
