She has now been spayed, is current on her shots, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $45. She stays in a crate at nighttime and is doing well at going potty outside. She is used to a fenced yard, but if you can leash walk her, she would do fine as well. Beagle's can't be trusted off leash because they will follow their nose! Beagles are great with kids too. She doesn't seem bothered by cats. She is a total sweetheart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Albany Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Albany, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
