My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aggie, born around 2005, has no problem asking for what she wants! She sat on her admitter’s porch mewing until we took her in. She was dehydrated, very thin, had diarrhea, and her right eye was cloudy. Despite her discomfort, Aggie was sweet as can be, purring, and happy for attention. Even when she didn’t want to be pet, she would still call out just to be looked at!

But it’s been rocky for this vocal little girl. She has had constant soft stool issues, which we’ve finally been able to get under control with a very strict diet: she can’t have treats, and eats special prescription food. But that means she needs to be isolated in a closed office with Pippi (a lovely girl with IBD), and doesn’t get much attention from anyone but staff. Now she works extra hard to attract attention by mewing at nearly everyone who passes or glances in.

It’s possible that one reason she calls people to her is that she isn’t comfortable walking to them due to impaired vision. Her eyes are crossed slightly, and the right one remains cloudy. We’re not sure how well she can see, but we have noticed this social girl doesn’t stray far from where she’s placed. It seems that much more special, then, that she found her way to her admitter’s porch, to Tree House, and into our hearts.
