Randy's Story...
Randy is a miniature poodle who is on the small side. He weighs about 15 lbs but could stand to gain a little weight. Poor guy was picked up as a stray but it hasn't put a damper on his wonderful personality. Randy is a lover who wants to be with his human whether its watching TV or snuggling in bed. He seems to get along with all other dogs no matter what their size. Randy is particularly fond of children and would be a great family pet. His color is champaign leaning towards white. Randy will require professional grooming to keep him looking his best. He has learned to use the doggie door but sometimes forgets so he can't be called 100% housebroken yet. Randy will also need to practice walking on a leash. This little guy is not highstrung or a barker but he does have energy. So far he has been respectful of property that isn't his. Randy tested negative for heartworm, has been neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy, a Overland Park Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
