My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gir was abandonned by his family when they were unable to care for him any longer. He came to us very underweight but is making great strides. He got an A+ from the vet and although he still needs to gain a bit of weight, he is happy, energetic, affectionate and ready to find his new home. Gir is good with other dogs and gets along great with cats. He is a young dog approximately a year old and currently weighs 12 lbs.


Gir is a friendly and intelligent dog that is much sturdier than he looks. He is playful, lively and amusing. He enjoys a good romp outside but is equally happy sitting in your lap. He is a very affectionate and charming little dog that bonds quickly and would be your friend for life. He loves to cuddle.


Although Gir is a small dog he is energetic and would love to have a backyard to play in and a good walk each day. He would make the perfect part-time lap dog and part-time exercise buddy. He would do best with older children that would enjoy a game of fetch. He loves his ball.


Gir is fine with other dogs but clearly is more oriented to people. He has no problem sharing his home with cats but does feel he should get the majority of the attention. He is a real companion that is happiest being with you and doing whatever you would like to do. He is happy just sitting beside you or lying at your feet but is always ready for a good game or an outing. He would be fine with other dogs in the home or as a single pet. Gir is house and crate trained, is very good in the car, and loves to be a part of whatever is going on. He is a happy, lively little dog that just loves to be loved.
