Boomer (sweet older gentleman's Story...

This is Boomer and he is about 50 pounds. Boomer is about 6 years old but that doesn't make him an old dog! He likes to be with people but he is not pushy. He is playful and very friendly around other dogs and ok around cats. No jumping, digging or climbing. He is well behaved and comes when you call him. He likes to walk around in the kiddie pool and lay in it. Boomer doesn't mind spending a few hours a day outside in the shade with a friend or 2. He is neutered, UTD on shots and micro chipped.

He was recently attacked by another dog and almost lost his life. Some of the scars will likely be permanent.

His adoption fee is only $50. If you are interested in giving Boomer a safe home family, please fill out the adoption application at www.pitsnpups.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer (sweet older gentleman, a Copperas Cove Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Copperas Cove, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Copperas Cove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Copperas Cove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Copperas Cove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Copperas Cove paves the way for another one to be saved.
