My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mack is an amazing, loveable dog.  He is gentle all the time.  Even when another dog shows aggression, Mack does not. He has a high tolerance level and is a totally peace-loving boy.  He even has a peace sign on his forehead!  Mack is a mid-sized dog approximately a year and a half old and weighs 48 lbs.

Here is what his foster parent had to say about Mack:

Mack loves to slow motion wrestle. He likes tug of war and never gets aggressive about it. He has one floppy ear and a peace sign on his forehead. He is energetic but not out of control. Very easy to please. Good with other dogs. I haven't introduced him to children as yet, I am sure, given his nature, he will be fine. This dog is totally none confrontational. Lives up to the Goofy floppy ear and the peace sign. He is social with other dogs. None aggressive even if the other dog is aggressive he just says "Peace man!"

He is playful. Every thing this guy does is gentle and none aggressive. Even when he plays he is gentle. His favorite game is ESCAPE!!!! It can be avoided however if you are smarter than the dog and attentive. He is totally not aggressive. The very first day he was with me I stuck my hand in his bowl to see how he would react. He didn't even know me yet. He just backed up then came back in to SHARE his food. I could even stick my hand in his mouth and take his food back. He is good with people, women and men alike. BIG SUCKY BABY!!!!!!!!. I introduced him to a complete stranger friends of mine. With in seconds Mack was laying on his back on the floor for his belly rub..Thank you very much....what? Thats all...Mmmm ok!

I don't have any other pets in my home. I took him to my brothers house. He has a Black Lab the same size as Mack. The lab and Mack got along great outside. I walk them together myself and they worked very well together. We went inside. All was good until my brother open his Tim Horton chicken wrap.....well The Black lab went into...."It's mine mode!!!" Growling and snapping at poor Mack. Mack went and laid down and look at him as if to say.." Wooo man...you have a definite attitude problem!!" With that said...Mack has a keen interest in cats. On a walk he is friendly with dogs...but cats need to be chased a bit. A skunk crossed our path...ummm.he doesn't know the difference between a cat and a skunk!!?

He is still a little startled at street cars " What the heck is that thing??" (Mack is just learning about city life. Getting him out and about in the city is helping to desensitize him to all the strange sights and sounds.) One more thing. When driving down the road he will duck under the over passes, it looks so funny...

His favourite things to do so far are to go on walks and car rides. He also likes to play tug of war and enjoys his bath!! He is happy with his dry food with some water on it...so far he doesn't like to eat alone. He doesn't eat allot and doesn't return to his bowl like some dogs. Mack's coat is shiny and soft..

He is very quiet all the time. I have room-mates upstairs with heavy feet...he is very currious but never barks. He is learning to sit. His walking habits are good. He still pulls abit and tends to change sides. He is very trainable. He is good at letting you know he wants out. I have not been crating him yet. Mack doesn't chew. he doesn't steal food. I left a box of cookies within reach on the table over night. They were great with my tea in the morning. He doesn't bolt out the door and instead tends to wait to go in or out.

Mack likes to have room to move around. I live in a tight basement and I can see it is to tight for him. He likes it outside and likes to sleep in the bed but he will sleep on his own. mack is a great dog for just about any situation!!
