Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Toby is a very lovable, well behaved Queensland Heeler. He loves to cuddle and wants to be right next to people. He is 8 years old, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and house-trained. When he was younger he did work as a cattle dog, so he does follow commands very well. He has had a rough time being bounced around from home to home for the sheer reason that no one ever divulged to the new owners that he wants to herd children like he would sheep. The name "heeler" is given to this breed because they nip at the heels of the animals they herd. Unfortunately children don't really like this! He needs to be in a home without children under 12 years old. We thought he found the perfect home, with an older gentlmen, but after a year the adopter decided he wanted to travel rather than be tied down with a dog. This was heart-breaking for Toby, who is really such a good dog! He is still fairly active for a 8 year old dog. He LOVES to play fetch and enjoys going on walks. He does not chew or dig. He gets along well with most other dogs, but does not like young puppies that pester him. He has never been around cats. If you want a smart, loyal dog that will adore you and is already trained, Toby is the guy for you! His adoption fee is just $80.
