Chester's Story...
Chester is the victim of what we call a, “dump and run.” His former guardian claims she couldn’t keep him in her apartment so she decided to dump him at the shelter and never look back! One of our volunteers luckily caught her before she took him inside and convinced her to relinquish Chester to her. Sweet Chester is now thriving in an amazing Take Me Home foster home. He enjoys several walks a day and loves to meet new people, dogs, cats and children. He is kind, spunky and so happy to be alive. Chester is a gorgeous Border Terrier-mix and only about three months old. He is looking forward to spending his life with a forever family who will never dump him again. Chester is a one in a million little puppy and will make one lucky family very happy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Santa Monica Border Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Border Terrier puppy from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier breeders who help with Border Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
