Mandy's Story...
I’m Mandy, the one and only German Basset-Dor! Why yes, it’s true…you could have yourself one unique pooch! What is a German Basset-Dor you ask? Well besides being totally cute, and totally sweet…it’s a German Shepherd/Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever mix. Pretty cool is you ask me, you get all the smarts and loyalty of a Shepherd and the compact size of a Basset! Now I am just a pup still, only 5 months old, so I will need plenty of training and guidance. I have a great start on my cratetraining though, and I have stellar social skills- I am great with others, love people and just adore children. So if you are looking for a sweet unique pooch come on in and meet Mandy the one-and-only German Basset-Dor! 5 months old25lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandy, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
