FANTASIA's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

FANTASIA...."Fannie" for short....is a fantasy in action! This tri colored, 18 lb, 2 yr old Lhasa Apso is really a dream in living color! She loves everyone. At the vet before her spay, she was cuddling up to a toddler....who was a little taken back! Fannie came to us with dreadlocks, matted to the bone....but look at her now! She has a gorgeous coat and is a beautiful dog. We don't really know her history, but she came from Lancaster and appeared to have had puppies -- then was probably "discarded" like so many breeders do in that area. Their loss could be your gain. She is usually quiet...but she does bark to alert or at strangers; she is mellow, but also very active when she wants to play! She loves other dogs and really needs to have a buddy....she doesn't like being left alone, like so many of them don't. Fannie is a great eater and cuddler...she gives lots of kisses and is just a happy, happy girl! She does use pp pads...and is going outside...but we can't guarantee she is potty trained! She is very smart and wants to please.... maybe you could give her a chance to please you? She is available for adoption now. If you have seen her on the site for a while, we have no idea why she has not been adopted...she is perfection! She has no behavioral issues and we don't know why she is still with us...maybe she is waiting for YOU.

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 11a-3:30pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FANTASIA, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
