My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poncho is a purebred Golden Retriever. He is 8 months old and, as you can see, quite easy on the eyes. What's more he has good house manners, and LOVES people and dogs alike. He is child friendly, though of course you will need to keep an eye on him with little ones. Poncho is one of those great Goldens who wants to snuggle with his people as much as he wants to play with other dogs. "I am happy and everything is fun!!" Poncho enjoys coming with you in the car and for his safety and yours, you will want to get a VestHarness or other car seat belt for Poncho.

He is quite a clown. Among other things, Poncho has a most amusing way of watching his reflection in mirrors, or in the glass of your storm door at night. He seems to think he is watching another dog and the expressions on his face are priceless!

Bottom line: Poncho is an energetic, smart, fun loving pre-teen pup who is growing and thrives on loving leadership. If Poncho becomes your furry family member, you will need to commit to going to doggy school and doing lots of homework with Poncho so that he masters his commands like grown up dogs. "Good boy Poncho. We are so proud of you!" You will also need to be sure that you and Poncho take daily walks, and that he gets lots of exercise, stimulation and play time with other dogs.
