My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 3/3/12: Introducing new rescue Kellogg!

Kellogg is a 5 month old, 25lb mixed breed puppy. Volunteers rescued him from a kill shelter and he is currently residing in a foster home until his 'forever home' is found.

We are still getting to know Kellogg and so we will update this posting as we learn more. Thus far, Kellogg seems to be fine with other animals and all people. He likes to 'talk' to you. He is a bit submissive, so a little reassurance is a nice thing for him.

Like any young puppy, Kellogg could use basic obedience training. He is a smart boy and should enjoy training classes! He is still in the process of being housebroken.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this dog? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
