Duff's Story...
Duffy is Coco's 3rd puppy. I will paste Coco's bio below so you can get the history on the four, and then I will add more about Duff at the end:
Sissy and Clyde are also Coco's puppies (brother and sister).
~~"Coco was brought into us with her 3 childen who are all grown. They were living in a run-down apartment, where they were living in 2 small carriers, ankle deep in their own waste. The young lady who lived next door to them pleaded with the lady and her son for months to let her find homes for them. One day out of nowhere, the owner told her to take them; unfortunately, she found it harder than she thought to find homes for four scared and cowering little dogs.
We took them in some time ago and they are all doing well but still shy of strangers. They all take a while to warm up to someone new.(i.e., a new volunteer here, etc.) Coco will probably be the one to take to someone new the quickest, but it will take time. She needs someone with a heart for the broken. She is a great watch dog. She is spayed, vaccinated, and is a no-cost adoption to the right home."
Duff is the shyest of the 3 puppies. He will be the one to take the extra mile. But he is so unbelievably adorable with this little heart-wrenching face, and it will be worth all the effort. He has to go into a home that already has a small dog (he cannot be an only dog; it will make it nearly impossible to get him to open up). or else consider taking Coco or Badger as a companion for him.(no additional adoption cost.)
He is going to need a new mother who truly will be saying, "I rescued him." Because you will. He is going to take some time to feel safe in a new situation, and it will take someone with all the patience and love in the world to give. He is a work of love in progress, and you will see the joy of it when you carry him through to the end.
No cost adoption to just the right forever home.

About Our Rescue Group...
Coppercloud Pet Rescue is a outgoing-based rescue (in other words, we do not take found animals or owner turn-ins....you must contact Maricopa County Animal Care and Control for this) that removes animals from the county shelters that are scheduled to be put to death and finds compatible, loving homes. Our secondary mission is to make pet owners truly aware of what the statistics are when they dump their pets on the county. The 2 county shelters alone are euthanizing HUNDREDS of cats and dogs EVERY week! Every single one of these animals once belonged to a human who no longer cared about their well-being. It is not the county's problem. It is a community problem. Please spay and neuter your pets. PLEASE. Email us if you need a low cost clinic. We are thrilled to offer this information.

Every dog is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered or spayed. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duff, a Scottsdale Chihuahua/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Chihuahua/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
