Marley's Story...
Hi there! My name is Marley! Cause I kind of look like the famous Marley. However, I am not as crazy as that one. I am very calm, sweet boy that just wants attention. I am very friendly, about 6 years old. I like other calm dogs like me and cats are ok too. I am in a foster home with 4 children and they really like me a lot! The nice people at the vet said I was healthy and needed to find a home soon or they would like to keep me! Oh, and I do my business outside, am an excellent car rider and walk pretty good on a leash! If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org and fill out an application. I am currently being fostered in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Knoxville Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
