Darla's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Darla's Story...
Darla is about 2 years old and is just a really good girl. She will do well in an active home with a yard and another dog to play with or active person to run with. She was used as the "tester" dog at the shelter to evaluate other dogs coming in because she is so good with other dogs. Darla is a little unsure with adults that she does not know at first but once she knows you are there to be her friend she will be your best friend. **No cats for Darla**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Lake Forest Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Lake Forest, or seeking a Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Lake Forest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Forest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Forest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Husky/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Forest paves the way for another one to be saved.
