Alfie's Story...
Alfredo is a loving energetic sweetheart who was found wandering the side of the interstate looking for food. Surprisingly once he was brought to his foster home he only ever had one potty accident indoors - and since then has been potty trained! Alfredo loves to go on walks, to watch squirrels dart, and he especially loves to chew on rawhides. Alfie is still very young, so he needs supervision while he's out to make sure he doesn't chew on something unallowable - however he learns very quickly! His foster dad has taught him which rooms he's allowed to go in, and he follows the rules even when the doors are open! Alfredo knows "sit" and is working on "down", he loves to roll over for belly rubs, and gets along GREAT with all other dogs. His current foster home has a cat as well, and he's doing just fine with that. Alfie spends his nights in a crate and - though he settles down after a while - the crate makes him a little bit anxious for the first few minutes. Alfredo would be an amazing dog for whoever wants to love him and pay him attention - he isn't picky! Alfredo is looking for a loving home to take him in and show him the good life. Please consider taking this sweetheart into your family! This dog cannot be adopted to Massachusetts residents per their pet import/quarantine regulations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alfie, a Spring Valley German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
